Christmas Giving

Our Elders were blessed this year with gifts from some secret Santa's from the United States, plus letters and colored pictures from England. Thank you to all who made Christmas giving a blessing for some missionaries who would not have received anything at all.  

 Shirts (polos), ties, oil vials, socks, and tie bars were donated for the elders.

 

Green ribbon presents are for the native elders, and red ribbon presents are for the foreign elders.

All of the missionaries received this beautiful picture of Christ - a donation from the artist. The "Living Christ" and Temple Recommend holder were a gift from President and Sister Tye.

Typhoon Melor (Nona)

Parents and family of Cavite missionaries have probably seen news reports of the latest Typhoon to hit the Philippines. Typhoon Melor (Nona) has weakened slightly and slowed down since reaching the Philippine coastline. A slow moving typhoon will "linger longer" and keep dumping rain as it moves along it's path. Typhoon Melor has joined with the Northeast Monsoon and together they are showering us with heavy rain. The zone leaders have checked in to report that all missionaries are safe, doing well, and in bed for the night. 

 This is the current map that the Area office has sent to us. By tomorrow afternoon, Typhoon Melor will be in the West Philippine Sea.

December MLC

Within the last 2 months we have had a big turnover in our mission leadership. So many are returning home after completing a successful mission, and now others have been passed the baton of leadership. President Tye and I are so impressed with the spirit and commitment of these new leaders. The Lord has a mighty army in Cavite!

Welcome December Batch

Twenty new missionaries arrived on December 2nd. After arriving to the mission office, they spent the day in orientation and meeting their new companion/trainer. What a great group of new elders and sisters!
