In our 21 months here in the Philippines, have had many calls about boils on missionaries. When a boil is suspected, I put the missionary on antibiotics and tell them to make sure that the area is kept clean, with warm wash cloths applied 3 x a day to bring the infection to the surface, and only using clean/purified water on the boil . . . but one elder and his companion decided to try and pop this boil and fix it themselves without calling Sister Tye. A few weeks later they end up with a big infection!
The elder was put on 2 rotating antibiotics and medicated ointment to heal this beauty. Within 4 days, the boil was showing signs of healing.
The human body is really amazing!
