Mission Tour

Elder Nielson, the Philippine Area President, and his wife joined us for Zone Conference. I loved listening to them speak and bear their testimonies as we met with all the missionaries. I will always treasure having them as guests in the Mission Home. President Tye and I had a chance to talk to Elder Nielson alone. He has a generous amount of love and concern for the Mission Presidents under his care, and is willing to help in any way possible. Sister Nielson is an outstanding speaker and can easily put others at ease with her sense of humor and love. We had a special dinner with our Senior Couples, and sat at the table for over an hour just talking and laughing. I am so impressed with the wealth of knowledge Elder Nielson has - and an amazing memory too. Twice during the two day conference, he let the missionaries ask him questions about anything they wanted. The doctrine, scriptures, percentages, historical dates, and experiences he and his wife shared with us in answer to the many questions were amazing. 

Plus, I will never forget how wonderful ALL the missionaries looked. I beheld the shiniest shoes, the best groomed hair, perfectly pressed white shirts, and the biggest smiles EVER! Only another Mission Mom will understand how I felt as I looked at them and admired the missionaries. It was The Celestial Kingdom of Groomed Missionaries. A Gold Starred Match the Message Marathon. Oh, how I love them all!

These two standing elders are the Zone Leaders from the Bacoor Zone. Bacoor is the winner of "The Best Zone to Match The Message!" 

Time For Lunch
I like these pictures of the chapel during lunch time. The elders and sisters leave all their gear behind as they satisfy their hunger.
It also shows me how much these missionaries carry around all day.

    

         

MISSION TOUR MLC
 Elder Neilson asked to have a special MLC after the last Zone Conference. During the two hour meeting, we evaluated the success of our week and talked about the way the Spirit touched us during the conference. 

 And, we can't have MLC without food!!! It was a pizza fest.

In the coming transfer, 4 of the members of this MLC group will be going home. We will dearly miss their leadership.
